WALK IN THE SKY
endless loop of 8 min, single channel HD video, 2011

Walk in the Sky is a video that captures the time of sky by walking under power lines at the same spot in 12 hours. As a witness, I observed meteorological time through capturing moments of flowing air and changing sunlight in 12 hours from 9am to 9pm. As a wander, I transformed busy daily activities through power lines into free but unstable journey with sound of walking and playing guitar. Viewers can observe the change of time through the subtle change of blue sky, or follow the journey through watching the constantly trembling lines. Shifting focus between the blue color and the lines represents that we can measure time itself as an outsider with distance or live in time with anxiety. In the installation, the video is projected on the ceiling like sky in a dark isolated room, which reflects the color of the sky.
